Small Faith Is Enough to Move Mountains

October 24, 2025

So, Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” – (Matthew 17:20)

My husband and I moved our daughter into college for the first time. Setting up her dorm room went smoothly, and she was adjusting well. Three weeks after returning home, we were sent a bill to pay for damage done to the vehicle we rented while on our trip. We knew for a fact that no damage was caused while in our possession and disputed the claim. The conversation wasn’t going anywhere with the first person. The exchange with the second person became even more confrontational, and we were just told we had to pay. It was upsetting. My husband called again. I thought he was wasting his time at this point because clearly, we weren’t going to get anywhere. The third person offered to look into it, but assuming the same outcome, we resolved to pay it to protect our credit. At that moment, I prayed from a place of very little faith. I felt helpless and knew only God could fix this. I prayed for His favor and for justice to prevail. The next morning, we got an email stating the claim had been closed.

When you face an adverse situation that feels hopeless, God can still turn your situation around. Just a little bit of faith is enough to move mountains.
