Facing an Emergency? Don’t Stress

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. – (Philippians 4:19)

A good rule of thumb is to save 3-6 months of expenses for emergencies. You never know what life will bring, from a broken-down car to a job loss, and that level of savings could help you weather these types of storms. However, I admit that it can be challenging to get there. It has been a while since we were there because large, unexpected expenses have been popping up over the past few years. It’s the routine of taking two steps forward and one step back. Will we ever get back there? Maybe, maybe not. Life has become unpredictable, but I have learned to focus less on the destination and more on who I was becoming along the way, a person who immediately looks for God to provide and fill in the gaps. I am grateful to say that He has come through every single time.

If you are struggling to save, keep managing your money the best you can and rest knowing that God is a provider and will supply your every need.
